meet marvin!

Marvin Holt is a Memphis-based musical theatre performer and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) major in musical theatre at the University of Memphis. He has been active in the local and regional theatre scene, earning recognition for his performances.

Notable Performances

 •   “Into the Woods” (University of Memphis): Portrayed Cinderella’s Prince and the Wolf in the university’s 2024 production. His performance garnered a nomination for the Ostrander Award for Supporting Actor in a Musical.  
 •   “Something Rotten!” (Theatre Memphis): Cast as Nigel Bottom in the 2025 production, scheduled to run from August 15 to September 7.  
•   “A Raisin in the Sun” (Theatre Memphis): Played George Murchison, showcasing his versatility in dramatic roles.  
•   “The Rocky Horror Show” (University of Memphis): Took on the role of Brad, further demonstrating his range in musical theatre.  

Marvin Holt has also performed with the Crane River Theater Company, taking on roles such as The Beast in “Beauty and the Beast” and participating in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.”  

His talent and dedication have been recognized with multiple Ostrander Award nominations, celebrating excellence in Memphis-area theatre.
